About Us:

Africa Missions

Africa Missions was founded in 1994 to strengthen local undeveloped churches. Training leaders is the main focus, along with many other venues, beginning in southern Africa, and now in many countries.

Ron Kinnear

Africa Missions' founder, president, and Board Member, Ron Kinnear has a heart that beats for evangelism. As a true visionary he leads in many innovative ways to spread the Gospel. Recently the Lord reminded him of the dream he had as a young pastor in Cape Town to spread the knowledge of Jesus "from Cape Town to Cairo." The fulfillment of that dream is well on its way!

Before pioneering Africa Missions, Ron spent 25 years on the mission field, directing and developing Bible colleges and planting dozens of churches. An experienced pastor, veteran missionary and a passionate soul winner, he has led thousands to the Lord.

Ordained in 1968 by Apostolic Faith Mission of S.A. (founded by John G. Lake in 1908), Ron was the leader of Bible colleges in Zimbabwe and South Africa and has personally trained hundreds of church leaders and pastors who are enjoying fruitful ministries today. He has personally conducted many crusades and has also served as Crusade Chairman in South Africa and Zimbabwe for other evangelists including Reinhard Bonnke.

Rina Kinnear

Rina Kinnear, who is also on the Board of Africa Missions is a true intercessor, who boldly leads in mobilizing the church to rediscover the value of prayer. A popular speaker, she also is the founder and president of King's Daughters of Excellence, which is a ministry of Christian women in the work place. She also has a monthly article in Juig Magazine.

Ron and Rina, both native South Africans, lead Africa Missions. They are continually on the field, preaching, teaching, helping, encouraging, and planning new exploits for the Kingdom of God.

Peter de Witt

Peter de Witt is the Chairman of the Africa Missions Board. He was CEO of Apostolic Faith Mission of SA for 25 years, and has served on the BOD of Africa Missions since it’s inception 22 years ago. We greatly benefit from his expertise and influence in the church arena in South Africa, as well as his heart for missions.

Jannie van der Merwe

Jannie is the Chairman of the Africa Missions Executive Committee, as well as coaching CEO’s of large companies, including Ron Kinnear. Until his retirement he was the Human Resources manager for Johnson Controls. His active interest in Africa Missions and his influence has given structure to our programmes and helped us function more effectively in administration.

They crossed the Atlantic Ocean and for the past three years Gary has served as Administrator of our office in Pretoria and takes care of all needed aspects. Judy serves as our Director of Communications and designs our newsletter and is our webmaster. They also travel to promote Africa Missions throughout South Africa.

She lives on the lake outside of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and lavishes her love on her family, friends, and enjoys square dancing. She takes care our American fundas and thanks God for the giver and prays over every check that comes for Africa Missions.

Gossaye Hamda

Gossaye a native-born Ethiopian, has a great heart to help people. He adores his family—his wife Angela and their two sons Nebiyu and Keno. He pastors a church in downtown Pretoria, praying and reaching out to people from the Horn of Africa (Ethiopians, Eritreans and Sudanese) who came to South Africa fleeing the harsh conditions of their home country.
